Day 1

Arrival in Provence

From early afternoon, guests arrive at their private Provençal retreat, tucked among trees and stone walls warmed by the southern sun. Time slows instantly here. Settle into your room, wander through the gardens, or simply pause with a welcome drink.

As dusk softens the light, gather for an aperitif on the terrace. Introductions are effortless, conversations unhurried. Dinner is served outdoors: seasonal Provençal cuisine, thoughtfully paired with local wines, and a gentle presentation of the week ahead.

No cycling today, just presence, conversation, and the quiet anticipation of the adventures to come.

Day 2

Finding Your Rhythm in the Luberon

The week begins gently, wheels turning through the rolling landscapes of the Luberon. Ochre villages rise above vineyards and olive groves, and the terrain undulates in long, fluid curves, ideal for settling into your cadence.

Midway, lunch awaits in a characterful Provençal setting, where shaded tables and regional flavors restore both body and spirit.

Back at the Mas, the afternoon belongs to you: a swim in the pool, a restorative massage, or simply a moment beneath the plane trees. As evening falls, dinner unfolds in a convivial atmosphere, the first true taste of life on two wheels in Provence.

The ride: 77km +1170m  / 48 mi  +3,840 ft

Day 3

Gorges de la Nesque & Wine Tasting

This morning, we depart from an elegant vineyard estate, riding into one of Provence’s most spectacular natural amphitheatres: the Gorges de la Nesque.

Sheer limestone cliffs rise above a winding ribbon of road. The gradients are steady, the panorama expansive. Over approximately 60 kilometers and 1000 meters of climbing, the ride rewards both strength and focus.

At a carefully chosen viewpoint, our private chef prepares a refined picnic, fresh, local, beautifully presented. Later, back at the estate, a curated wine tasting deepens the sense of place, revealing the subtleties of the surrounding terroir.

A shuttle returns us to the Mas, where the evening invites quiet recovery.

The ride: 62km +1070m / 38.5 mi +3,510 ft

Day 4

Provence at Leisure

Today unfolds at a different pace.

The morning begins in a vibrant Provençal market, where stalls overflow with sun-ripened produce, lavender bouquets, and the scent of warm bread. Wander through narrow village streets, absorbing the rhythm of daily life.

Back at the retreat, a leisurely lunch sets the tone for a flexible afternoon. Those wishing to ride can explore a route around the Mas, a compact yet rewarding loop through nearby hills. Others may choose stillness: the pool, the garden, or the cool, clear waters of the Sorgue River accessible directly from the property.

Massage appointments are available throughout the afternoon. Dinner that evening celebrates the valley’s finest ingredients in an atmosphere of relaxed elegance.

Optional ride: 47km +1000m / 29 mi +3,280 ft

Day 5

Mont Ventoux: The Giant of Provence

An early departure signals a defining day.

We make our way toward Bédoin, where Mont Ventoux rises, stark, imposing, legendary. The ascent stretches 21 kilometers, gaining 1,600 meters through forested slopes that gradually yield to the mountain’s iconic lunar summit.

Each rider climbs at their own tempo. The higher you ascend, the more elemental the landscape becomes, until finally, the summit reveals its vast horizon.

From here, choice defines the experience: descend by bike or return via shuttle. We regroup at a charming local restaurant for a well-earned lunch before making our way back to the retreat.

The afternoon is devoted entirely to recovery. Silence by the pool. Skilled hands easing tired muscles. A casual dinner shared in celebration of a challenge met and conquered.

The full ride (a shorter option is possible): 120km +2610m / 75 mi +8,560 ft

Day 6

Gentle Miles & Hidden Histories

After the intensity of Mont Ventoux, today is about flow and discovery. Starting from Gargas, the route meanders across the valley floor, linking picturesque villages such as Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt, Lioux, and Goult. The ride is gentle yet engaging, allowing time to absorb the scenery and culture.

Joining the group for the ride is Kim, our special guest for the Provence journey, sharing her insight, stories, and tips along the route, adding a unique dimension to the experience.

At the ride’s conclusion, cycling shoes give way to lighter attire for a visit to the Mines de Bruoux, an extraordinary network of underground quarries revealing Provence’s geological and industrial heritage. Afterward, a shuttle returns us to our Provençal retreat.

The afternoon is yours to unwind, oak in the pool, enjoy a massage, or simply reflect on the week’s adventures. The evening brings a special closing celebration with a relaxed dinner to toast shared experiences and the journey completed together.

The ride: 58km +710m / 36 mi +2,330 ft

Day 7

Provence lingers long after departure, in the legs, in the senses, and in memory.
