Day 1

Arrival on the Island

Arrive at Mauritius’ airport and settle into our private villa. Begin your stay with a welcome basket, refreshing drinks, and a curated aperitif. Meet the team and discover the week ahead, including an introduction to your guest guide, Michel Lanne. In the evening, enjoy a relaxed dinner at the villa followed by an open-air cinema screening, setting the tone for a week of exploration and connection.

Day 2

Trails & Sunset at Le Morne

Start the day with a gentle morning run guided by Michel Lanne, exploring the rhythms of the island at a comfortable pace. After breakfast, enjoy moments of relaxation with massage, sauna, or pool. The Lion Peak and Mahébourg Discovery

Begin with a morning trail to the Lion’s Peak and ending at Ferney Lodge. Perched in the island’s lush eastern hills, Ferney Lodge is a serene retreat that feels worlds apart from the stereotypical image of Mauritius’ beaches and resorts. Surrounded by dense vegetation, rolling hills, and the distant calls of native wildlife, it offers a rare sense of privacy and immersion in nature. After a refreshing breakfast and optional swim, visit the historic village of Mahébourg with a cultural guide. Lunch at a local fisherman’s eatery offers authentic flavors, followed by an afternoon at your leisure, trail run, gym, massage, or water activities at So Sofitel. Dinner at the villa celebrates Indo-Mauritian cuisine in a relaxed, communal atmosphere.

The evening includes a barbecue and open-air cinema, providing a gentle, restorative pause before the week’s more active days.

Day 6

The Island Mission

A sunrise departure from the villa begins the full-day “Mission” trail, exploring the Piton Rivière Noire and surrounding gorges. Stop for refreshments at Plaine Champagne and optional early exit at Pétrin for those preferring a shorter day. At the summit of Grand Piton, pause for a quiet reflection led by Michel Lanne. Descend through cascading streams and arrive at the gorge parking before returning to the villa. Celebrate the day with an evening gathering with live music at the villa.

In the evening, meet local trail runners and athletes for a conversation about Mauritius’ trail culture, followed by a relaxed dinner and live music.

Day 8

Waterfalls & Trail Exploration

Spend the day on a guided trail in the Yémen region, culminating in the Ascension of the Seven Cascades. Photography and drone coverage capture the natural beauty throughout.
