This Nepal Gravel Expedition is defined by contrast, in landscape, altitude and atmosphere.

The journey begins in the high Himalayas, riding from Jomsom into the restricted realm of Upper Mustang, towards the ancient walled city of Lo Manthang near the Tibetan frontier. Vast plateaus unfold beneath snow-lined horizons; arid valleys stretch into silence; mountain passes rise beyond 4,000 metres. The scale is immense, the terrain elemental, the sense of remoteness profound.

Led by expert guides whose knowledge of the land, its history and its people adds depth to every stage, the experience extends far beyond the ride itself. Encounters in remote villages and monasteries offer a rare insight into a culture shaped by altitude, isolation and resilience.

Then, in striking contrast, the landscape shifts dramatically. We then descend into Nepal’s subtropical lowlands, where dense jungle replaces high-mountain stillness. Heat, rich vegetation and abundant wildlife redefine the rhythm of the journey, culminating in the rare privilege of exploring one of Asia’s most extraordinary natural sanctuaries, and, with fortune, glimpsing the elusive Bengal tiger. This final interlude also offers time to slow down, unwind and absorb the magnitude of what has been experienced.
